Amber Gaia is a singer, guitarist, cellist and songwriter performing in coffee houses, restaurants, book stores, colleges, retirement centers, schools, churches, public events, fairs and private homes. Born in Clinton, Iowa, Amber was raised by her grandmother in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Amber received her first guitar at age 7 and had her first ‘basement band'--"The Twister Sisters" with siblings and cousins. For her 13th birthday she received a ‘real' guitar and began learning folk songs. O'Gorman High School afforded an opportunity to create a folk trio with friends Jerry and Marty.

Amber's desire to move west brought her to Juneau, Alaska, where she was a Graphic Designer and then Account Executive for the Capital City Weekly newspaper, then as an Advertising Sales Representative for KJUD-TV. During this time Amber began her performing career in earnest.
An offer to be lead singer for ‘Tiger Rose' band took Amber to Honolulu, Hawaii, where many of her early songs were written.
California soon beckoned, where music became a bigger part of her life performing weekly at Ruthy's Bar & Oven as well as retirement homes, coffee houses, city festivals, art shows and private parties in Yuba City.
After moving to the San Francisco Bay Area with well rounded, broad-based experience to draw from, Amber developed and implemented Movement & Music Early Childhood Music Instruction, teaching in schools and privately, and released her Movement & Music, Vol. 1 CD with Blue Dolphin Records.
Amber is now living in her RV traveling the United States, performing and writing songs. |
